The tray app
The rt-tray menu bar app shows daemon health at a glance and delivers native notifications, so you don't need a terminal open to know something happened.
The dot
| Dot | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | daemon running normally |
| Yellow | daemon starting |
| Orange | pending notifications |
| Red | daemon not reachable |
Menu actions
From the tray menu you can:
- restart the daemon
- stop the daemon
- toggle launch-at-login
- check for updates
Updates
The tray app never self-upgrades. When a newer release is available, it notifies you and prompts you to run rt update yourself; it does not download or install anything on your behalf.
